Safeheron and Regtank Integrate KYT and VASP Status Checks Into Institutional Self-Custody

Singapore-based digital asset self-custody provider Safeheron and RegTech company Regtank announced on 2 September 2026 that they have integrated Regtank’s Know Your Transaction (KYT) technology into Safeheron’s institutional self-custody platform.

The companies said the integration is designed to give institutions transaction-level compliance information while allowing them to retain direct control of private keys and assets rather than transferring custody to a third party.

KYT and VASP checks added to self-custody workflows

Safeheron’s platform uses Secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technology for institutional self-custody. Through the new integration, clients can access Regtank’s KYT capabilities within that environment.

Regtank’s KYT service provides more than a wallet risk score. According to the companies, compliance teams can also view information on the virtual asset service provider associated with a wallet, including its regulatory status, supervisory authority and KYC and onboarding policies.

Regtank said its blockchain-intelligence data covers hundreds of millions of addresses linked to VASPs and receives around 1.5 million new attribution data points each week. These figures are company-reported and have not been independently verified.

The integration also connects transaction monitoring with Regtank’s broader compliance stack, which includes KYC, KYB, sanctions and other screening, risk assessment and blockchain analytics. Regtank said this allows information collected during counterparty onboarding to feed into later transaction monitoring and risk decisions.

Targeting regulated institutional digital-asset users

The companies identified payment firms, OTC liquidity providers, digital banks, real-world-asset platforms, trust and asset managers, and commodity trade-finance businesses as potential users, particularly in Asia-Pacific and other markets where institutions face rising digital-asset compliance requirements.

Regtank, founded in Singapore in 2020, says its platform supports more than 11,000 types of government-issued identification from over 190 countries and monitors more than 50 million KYC and KYB data points on an ongoing basis. It holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification and Singapore FinTech Certification from the Singapore FinTech Association.

The partnership reflects a broader shift in institutional digital assets toward embedding blockchain analytics, counterparty due diligence and transaction monitoring directly into custody and wallet infrastructure rather than treating compliance as a separate post-transaction process.
