ACAMS Buffalo Financial Crimes Summit Focuses on Digital Assets, CMLOs and AI

The ACAMS Greater Buffalo Chapter is holding its first annual full-day Western New York Financial Crimes Compliance Summit on September 1, 2026, bringing together financial-crime professionals from banking, broker-dealers, investment firms and law enforcement.
The in-person programme runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET at the M&T Center in Buffalo, New York, and carries four ACAMS credits. ACAMS says the main summit has reached venue capacity, although registrations remain open for the associated reception and post-event networking session.
Focus on evolving financial-crime risks
The programme is structured around several areas that are increasingly relevant to AML and financial-crime teams: digital assets, Chinese money laundering organisations (CMLOs), insider threats, artificial intelligence and a law-enforcement panel.
ACAMS describes the event as a learning forum for practitioners across regulated financial sectors as well as local and federal enforcement. The agenda reflects the broader convergence of AML, fraud, cyber-enabled financial crime and technology risk, particularly as institutions face more complex cross-border laundering networks and growing use of AI in both criminal activity and compliance operations.
The summit is supported by industry sponsors including WorkFusion, Quantexa, Feedzai and others active in financial-crime technology and compliance.
