Zeidler Launches AI Tool to Review Due Diligence Questionnaires

Zeidler Group has launched AI Questionnaire Review, a new feature within its Zeidler Due Diligence (ZDD) platform designed to accelerate the review of due diligence questionnaires used by asset managers and compliance teams.
The tool analyses an entire DDQ in a single pass and identifies unanswered questions, incomplete responses and answers that may raise compliance, regulatory or operational concerns. Rather than checking only whether a field contains a response, the system assesses whether the answer actually addresses the question and whether the information is sufficiently clear and consistent.
Each response is assigned one of three statuses — Satisfactory, Flagged for Review or Unanswered — with a plain-English explanation of the assessment. Flagged and unanswered responses are collected in a dedicated panel so reviewers can focus on issues requiring further examination instead of working through every questionnaire item manually.
Zeidler said the review can be run again when counterparties provide new answers or supporting documents. The feature is integrated into the existing ZDD platform alongside questionnaire management, counterparty response rating and validation tools, so users do not need to export information to a separate system.
The company positions the tool as a first-pass review layer rather than a replacement for human judgement. For compliance teams, the development reflects a broader move toward applying AI to evidence-heavy due diligence processes while retaining reviewer oversight over final risk decisions.
